On Saturday evening, I ordered a GoPro Hero 3 (Black edition) camera from a company on ebay.
Tuesday morning it turned up, along with an £80 LCD screen I did not order.
Fantastic, a freebie.
Today however, ANOTHER GoPro has just turned up.
I'll stick it in my cupboard for ~2 weeks, before sticking it on ebay for £300, but all items have been signed for.
Im just wondering if they're likely to find out and chase me backup for it.

wow, this is very interesting:

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations say you have a right to keep goods delivered to you that you didn’t ask for.
If you receive goods you have not ordered, you can treat the goods as an unconditional gift and you can do what you want with them.
You have no obligation to return the goods to the trader or allow the trader to collect the goods. However, it would be reasonable for you to contact the trader to explain what has happened and give them a chance to collect the goods from you.
If you receive a demand for payment for unsolicited goods or services, you can ignore it. If the trader does this, they may have committed a criminal offence under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. You should report the matter to your trading standards department through Citizens Advice.

This happened to me once with a HDD. I thought SCORE and sold the second one.
Couple of days later the company contacted me explaining about an error in their system causing double deliveries on a few orders. They just wanted to inform me that they'd be sending a return label and a free gift.
I just denied all knowledge and they eventually went away.
Always felt like a cunt about it afterwards and deeply regret not just returning it.

If they didn't realise they sent you two, then why should you realise you received two? They are meant to be the professionals, i would keep it and feel fine inside that its their mistake and that's no way to run a business

I think If I had to bare face lie to someone like that, I might feel like a cunt.
If thats the end of it and theres no correspondance then I wont be feeling sorry

Imagine it was you that sent it out....
If it was me, i'd say keep it, as it would be my own stupid mistake. Whoever sent it is an idiot. End of

Just read a bit more on this, the reason for the receivers protection is to stop companies sending out goods and demanding payment for an item not ordered.

I've had that happen a few times and once just recently.. I added on to another order and the company told me to make a new order and they would refund the postage.. Silly beggars send out my duplicated second order too so I got the items twice
BTW want to sell me a GoPro?

lucky bastards my dad ordered a jamie oliver bbq last year, about 300 quids worth.
the delivered it and when he went to set it up, he realised it was missing some bits. phoned argos up and they said they'll send another one out and he can swap it over. delivery driver turned up, dropped off the new bbq and left
they also delivered 2 vanity tables worth 150 quid each when he only ordered one.

Its very easily done, I've had a few oh shit moments when packing up stuff to go out on Ebay and not knowing what has already gone out and what is still to be sent.
