So the first house we had an offer accepted was withdrawn from the market after the woman decided she wouldn't negotiate over the things we felt needed doing but anyway, this isn't a thread to go on about that again...
This one didn't even make it to market, was viewed and valued by the estate agent about 3 hours before we looked round it.
Doesn't look much from the outside but it's perfect for us, loads of room, parking for 3 cars and a garage in the block too.
Used to be a 3 bed apparently, although I can't see where the 3rd bedroom would have been but now it's got 2 very well sized bedrooms.
Kitchen diner (yes, it's pink )
Living room with proper wood burner ()
Second bedroom
Master bedroom
Big conservatory
Garden isn't huge but it'll do
When it sold in 2011, it needed a full refresh which it's had at quite a cost, according to the vendor. The woman who lived there died this year so her daughters wanted a quick sale, they ended up putting it up for £5k more than it sold for previously.
It's in a little village which has loads of footpaths going from it, so it's exactly what we were looking for.
Should be moving in towards the end of March / start of April.
No asbestos ceiling jibes please.

that's huge for a 2 bed house! probably double the size of ours
great buy by the looks of it. bit of paint on the walls to get rid of the neutral colour's and it'll look fantastic.
conservatory is very nice also.

Conservatory is decent enough, yeah. has 2 double doors and 2 single doors in it too, so it makes the house seem a lot more secure!
As for painting, the first thing we'll be doing is ditching the pink, other than that its not too bad, the master bedroom doesn't photograph too well, the wallpaper actually looks better in real life so that's not so bad, second bedroom doesn't really matter and the living room will be getting colour one way or another.
Seems big because it was built as a 3 bed I guess, it's not huge but it's a massive step up from our current rented place.

Just hope the neighbour isn't a peeping tom spying on your Mrs sunbathing out that little window.

Nope, Isham actually. Nothing came up in Wollaston again and this was cheaper than it would have been there anyway.

So, we've finally got a completion day after months of fucking around over a land dispute.
Solicitors have been completely useless, I ended up getting my financial advisor involved to push Halifax for an answer on something as the solicitors weren't doing it.
Get the keys on July 3rd, which means a 6 month sale.

Good work Robin. The hard work is worth it. We moved in here a year ago this month. I was painting until 1-2am most nights after my little boy went to bed
