Bit like the Russians do, i want a camera in my car to record incidents and idiots.

What are the options?, only really heard of the GoPro.

Ideally a front and back facing camera would be good.

Get something like this;

Go pro's are good, but not really what you're after or need.

you'd be wanting something hidden, you can get them that will replace your rear view mirror. then if you wanted a rear facing one get one that sits where your number plate light goes like jambo has

A while back some dopy bitch pulled out on the Mrs forceing her to swerve up a kerb, busting the tyre, alloy and bending a few bits underneath.

She never admitted fault which meant going through insurance would have only resulted in 50/50 and claim on our policy so ended up forking out £££ to get it sorted.

Ever since then been on about getting a front/rear camera, would have paid for itself in that one instance alone.

This is exactly what your after http://www.roadhawk.co.uk/

There was a massive thread and group buy recently on MLR regarding them as a customer caught out a trader/garage who was taking customers out in his car without his knowledge.

How do they work, are they 'active' all the time but only stores the previous 2 minutes when an impact is detected?

Says recording constantly it can only store 30 mins on a 64gb SD card

Ones I see start recording when you turn ignition on. And record on a loop onto a memory card. One was 8hrs. But I guess it depends on size of memory card.

Usually records on a loop. If in an accident replace SD card or turn off recording.

Seen some that have a "save last X minutes" button.

Had three police warnings in a week. Deffo people being judgemental imo.

Going to have my own footage to show them next time.

Just arrived, when i ordered he was out of stock so i waited.

Going to fit it myself, nearly wrote the car off two days ago, would of been perfect, some man in a van overtaking a cyclist on a blind bend, i was coming the other way and really had to test my brakes, he didn't even bother to slow down just kept coming at me while i'm trying my best to stop.

totally oblivious

I'd love something like this if it was well integrated.

The above looks to me like it'll be a bit of a mess once fitted. That front camera is huge.
