Currently looking for a nice SV650s as I wanted something a bit less aggressive and bit more comfortable then a full on sports bike.
I ride all year around, can't be a proper biker and not do the winters

Really for the money you can't beat them.
Seem to be usually cheap than the other makes,
And tbh every r6 I've gone to view has been a dog or had a dodgy gearbox. 1st an 2nd.

I will mostly be riding this 75bhp ZXR400 this year on many trackdays. Don't really ride on the road anymore. Did less than 500 miles last year!

This is mine.
Haven't used it in a few months. Torn ligaments in my ankle. It's only a Honda CRF250X. May upgrade to a 450 next year but I like the 250 as its really light and nippy and good when endurance racing.

Done a full year on a bike, every day, sun, wind, rain and snow, Gave up in January after hitting a monster pothole, ruining my bike and severly knocking my confidence.
But I'm looking to sort my current shitty bike to ride it a little this summer...

Nice colour that one, I would like to get an M4 high mount in carbon when I get my sv.
I hear the normal shock is really terrible for pillions but there are other cheapish options like GSXR1000 rear shocks etc.
People I feel want a lot for them, 10 year old sv and they want £2k, seems a lot when the bikes are cheap begin with.

You've been looking at the wrong ones, A Curvy (like mine) should be able to be picked up for between £800 and £1200.
Later K3> pointy's might be a little more, but they are a better bike.
Rear shocks suck, lots of gixxer shocks will fit without too much hassle, plus CBR/Ninja etc, whatever you can find normally.
Front forks are a bit pants too, but use decent oil, decrease the air gap and fit spacer washers.
SV's are great first bikes, I had mine 3 days before I was out down burnham bends dragging the pegs, so forgiving.

I was riding daily, 120 miles, until some idiot in on a scooter thought he was going to run cut across me head on last July. Bike totalled and my back is still recovering. Starting to get tired of sitting in traffic again though

Daimo, know anyone that wants a fast, cheap CBR 600 F-Sport. Ideal track bike with its spec, still in road trim.
Here's a vid from my mate who was following me at Cadwell Park last year. Both on Aprilia RS250's

I really want to do a couple of track days,
Only problem is I will be quite slow, and feel bad hiding everyone up.
I have heard of experienced people booking onto beginner days,

Go Novice!! We all start somewhere, and I can assure you there will be people much slower than you. I mean literally walking the bikes round bends.
Either just book a trackday and book the novice group, or or go on a novice only trackday.
I can assure you, after one or two trackdays, your riding all round will improve. Its the duty of the rider behind to pass safely, so you just get on, ride, take your line, and alls good.
Jimmy, if you weren't so far i'd advertise locally for you, but theres so many for sale down here at the moment.

Don't worry. Go for a beginners one that you can get instruction.
Everyone has to start somewhere. When I started enduro races I was shitting it being slow but its always the responsibility of the faster rider to go round you.

I've got my road license but no bike currently; mainly ride trials now and strangely do it more in winter than summer!!
