Hi Guys,

So at present a I have a 2006 350Z which is up for sale and 3.0 diesel E92.

The 350 is up for sale anyway but I'm thinking of selling the BMW aswell and getting something along the lines of a 911 C4S and then a 4k diesel for the mileage I do. I have insurance which will cover anything so that's not an issue.

I'm really looking for suggestions / links. Car must be standard, don't want a modified skyline for example.

Thanks!

Personally....

1. 2007 mitsibushi shogun 3.2 5dr
2. 2002 996 c2 coupe

As it would suit my needs, or increase the budget to a c4s or turbo.

In actual fact I'm attempting to saddle one car and save cash for the pork, although I do feel the need for a 4x4 too.

Diesel would be just for a commute of 70k per day. Would want to keep the Porsche for a long time so not add a ton of miles.

Are there different c4s models?

I think of your realistically wanting to hang onto the pork for a long time you need to buy the best you can afford.

Something like this - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/911-carrera-996/porsche-911-carrera-4s-just-41k-miles-original-paint-lots-of-recent-work-fsh-with-receipts-high-spec-nav-bose-sports-seats/997297

Then spend coppers on an old Diesel work hack or lease a modern lawnmower engined super mini for £100 a month off ling.

All carrera 4 S are wide body. They have turbo body and front bumper (different chin spoiler) without the rear quarter vents

Colons right. I have a e36 tourer that cost £400 for ragging around in without having to care about it. Although I am mostly in the porker.

For me personally I'd have an RS4 saloon and a diesel for running about.

I'm not keen on some porches. Your obviously looking at top marquee cars tho.

Porsche you either love or hate, like marmite.

I think an rs4 of more an every day car with balls I don't think it would have the sence of occasion a Porsche would give.

I could sell my CTR race car aswell for probably 10-11k aswell as it barely gets used. I just want a car I can maintain perfectly and that won't really lose any value.

So potentially I could have 22k for a Porsche but then that's 997 money.

There's something I just love about the red strip on the back, in many ways i think the c4s is nicer to the eye than the tubby!!

Bottom of the barrel 997.1 money....personally I'd prefer a best of best 996.

Yeah ropey 997
Wouldn't spend less than £26k on a 997 and that would only get you an s. need c4s (wide body)

I do really like that black one linked above. And with 41K on the clock I can imagine in 4-5 years providing the mileage is kept below 60k it wouldn't lose to much of its value..?

I reckon they'll drop a wee bit but not much.

5yr ownership then step up into a 997 turbo when there 30k.

That would be my plan.

Nice one here with the aero kit from a highly regarded dealer. Not usually a fan of the aero but it looks great here.

http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/431/9964SAerokit/

More miles and dearer but newer and has the sports exhaust.
