Okay I'm really struggling now as what to buy for a new car. Got around £11k to spend and want a sporty diesel, NOT an Astra as I previously bought Been looking at a 1 series 3 or 2 door M sport but with my budget I don't think it's really doable with half decent mileage on.

So what can I go for, ideally around a 1.9/2.0 with 150bhp+ went and looked at a Seat Leon FR but it had some hideous fake carbon dash :-/

Truly stuck and this cash is burning a whole in my pocket..........

Would love one of these and this is the PERFECT spec for me bar it being the 118d not the 120d but its just the mileage for £12k seems loads

Not a massive fan of the 5 series bit to big for me and the 3.0l would be more juicy then I'd want trying to get decent mpg ect and decent power. 40MPG and 150bhp+ I' d be happy

the old 1 series is a nice looking car (it's grown on me, used to hate it), although with the new one dividing opinion, it may well be holding it's value.

would you rather a hatch or saloon?

something a big older like a mondeo st 2.2 tdci has ton's of space although getting on a bit now.

Hatch ideally, although would love a 1 series coupe but is to much £££

Would like some think around 2008 or newer as I want a 'newer car' the whole Astra agro has really thrown a spanner in the works tbf. The one I had was the perfect spec and what I had wanted for AGES but it broke and I lost all trust ect so the garage took in back instead of fixing it as was with in 14 days of collection.

It's left me not knowing what I want

Just got rid of m audi and tbh it was a great car, I drove it to run I've it a blast and I missed the car tbh compared to my kuga!

Sold for 7800 in the end too

Not about shout actually a quick look and for £11k you get a lot of car for the money. 60 plate with less then 40k and sat nav.

Just not sure if it's to big and more a family car :-/ honestly finding a car is so difficult when you've wanted some think else for ages

Been looking at TDI TT's but think I'm getting a bit carried away as there like £15k plus

Have you drove an a3? I wouldn't get the dsg tho I had one and that had to go back because of the gearbox problem

Oh really? Recently got one and had to return it? Sounds like the same story of mine with the astra No I'm yet to drive one but they look nice, what one's you looking at shape? Any links?

Yeah just been looking at them about my price range so going to look into them more, seem fairly decent in side to and well spec'd, quite sporty out side as well.
