Nothing wrong with mad kitted cars, its how they were finished that made the difference.

Might not be in fashion now, but at the time. Its all in the quality of the finish, and the wheels.

Combat 2 / PSG wide arch

Combat

UV, although bad bonnet, the F50 bonnets were NEVER good!

Mixture and custom.

MCR

Carzone

Not so sure on this custom one though

Anyone want to buy it from us?

How to do this wide arch kit!!

And a perfect example of how to take the above kit, and make it look awful!

2000-2004

Matter of opinion that This whole site was born on cars like this. Times have changed.

Car shows were much better, everything was different at least, not just plan GSi kits and everything looking exactly the same.

Car scene was much bigger and much better for it (and worse).

Car mags had variety and were a good read, not everything looking the same. Times were goood.

Ahhh yeah that was it, I do remember you could get it on "wide arch" or "standard" arch kit too.

There were loads more, but Fotki is blaming the previous hurricane for loosing GB of data and images from my site so lost a lot of them.

Ironically I've cleared my loft the last few days and have a fair few Max Power/Revs/Redlines that I dug out. Just chucked a few of them away, but some epic memories there.

Kitted cars were cool back in the day. Scrivs red one on 19's was one of my favourites.

Agree with Daimo. We were brought up loving these cars and I wish it was still the trend. Those ones posted above where great back in the day!

Obviously there were plenty of bad examples out there, especially the Flymo one

Brads original (same as Donnas) corsa with Delta Evo.

It looks like we will sell our Corsa turbo, but if we change our mind, again, then I'd like to stick this on the front.

Irmscher

Lumma/Reiger GT/C

Mattig?

Lexmaul

Slighly modified Reiger

Can't remember Daves, his mags in the loft again, can't be assed to go back up there.

Can't remember Rentons/Lee

Scriv/Brads

Big Steves, don't know the bumper.

Kindom front end? (Rich's wasn't it?)

Reiger un-modified.

Again unknown.

Is this that ebay car?

Irmy lower lip

Nothing to do with this post, but as I browsed I found this from PVS 2004 and thought it was funny

Deffo not all good, but when you've got 200+ corsas at a show, having something to drool/laugh at was fun and made more interesting viewing with everyone trying to be different (different didn't always mean good, I can assure you)

The mad OTT interiors always appealed to me more than the body kits, but then again I think some of the above pics still look good today.

For example

Lotus Elise 111R

Impreza WRX STi

People did well to sell the above cars at the right time. The value of these things has gone now.
