Incidentally, has anyone seen Lizard Lick Towing or Auction Hunters? Especially the former fucking hell  even the auction show on discovery is fake and false. It's all scripted bullshit. I love how they leave you 'hanging' at the end of the first half of a TV show to try and tie you in to make sure you watch the second half as well. All about advertising really, rather than content.

Problem with these shows is, well Wheeler Dealers anyway, Ed China is a multi skilled god that can do anything. Take away his labour time and they have lost a lot of money doing cars up.

That TVR episode was a shocker the work that went into that to sell it on for buttons of a profit, agree black wheels looked awful, looked much fresher silver

The profit part of the show is redundant nowadays. Should just chop it off and have another 10mins of Ed doing his stuff instead.
When they were spraying wings on Capri's, and changing grills on Mk1 Golfs it was different, but as you say - changing the chassis on a Cerbera is not worth £1500 in your pocket 
I like how technical they're getting with some jobs though, a few seasons ago they seemed to be "outsourcing" alot of stuff which was annoying - but Ed is upping his game. The Diff rebuild he did on the Escort was ace, stuff like that I love watching.
