i'm in this gang, but i also understand that for a lot of people, good fuel economy is essential.

on another forum, a couple of people have some 'mpg watch' thing as their signature, as if they're proud to show off how well their car does on fuel. pretty gay really, but whatever floats your boat.

If you are worried about MPG then become a bus wanker.

Mpg is just a variable like everything else. Can be affected by your driving, traffic, being held up or anythinf. Some days. I get 34
Mpg in the R32, other days 22 on a clear road

Integra, well fuck knows as it reads in kilometres. If it needs fuel I put in. If I need to go anywhere I make sure I have fuel and go drive. Dont need a website

I never look at my mpg. I just stick the amount of miles in my tank on the dash and leave it at that. If it says over 100 I'm happy
If the missus wants to check mpg I don't look.
Id probably cry

I check mpg between fills normally. I still need to fill up anyway but like to know how it's doing. I find it better to have as much information as is available, be it fuel consumption or whatever.

Nothing wrong with checking your MPG now and again.

You would be pretty pissed off if your 30mpg car was doing 15mpg just because you were too ignorant to check.

I would rather know if something was wrong rather than just getting on with it trying to be the big man not giving a fuck.

You could say its part of taking care of your car. Its no different to checking your oil or coolant.

Not really.

Too many variable's to take into account.

My comment was merely aimed at the folk who say they don't care, and just put fuel in as in when it needs it.

I'm not saying i don't care. I would notice if it was going through more than it normally does, but vtec destroys any MPG calculations, so is pretty pointless trying to work it out
