fuck that's insane.
seems too obvious to be related to the boston attack, and weird that someone would target a fertiliser plant.
at least 70 dead already according to the bird of the radio anyway.

Unless it was the same fertiliser the Boston bombers used and they're trying to cover their trail.

Just heard on the radio, seems a few people dead and massive amounts of damage to local homes.
Fertiliser contains Ammonium Nitrate which is one of the core ingredients to explosives and widely used in bombs, theres been a few fertiliser plants go up before, its dangerous stuff.

Yes I remember hearing that explosion when I lived in Slough at the time, I was like "WTF is that?!"

This is what I hate about these things, it was no confirmed deaths with sky news at 6am, then it was several deaths with bbc and now its suddenly 70, stupid.
I can't understand how fire spread so easily over there! Didn't it set a nursing home on fire quite a bit down the road?
Bloody shame though, horrible to think of people in the blast.

I dont think its the fire that spreads its maybe the effect of the explosion shock onto other buildings that causes pipes to rupture and catch fire.

You're right, but not a lot going on here atm.
On US version of CNN, there's a tiny bit under World about Thatcher; http://us.cnn.com/?hpt=ed_US
Also its confirmed on there, which is probably a better source, that 2 have died in the blast, which is much better than 70! although sad.

Yup.
Although they do things bigger over there, we had a little paper mill fire in reply to their super massive explosion
