if youve ever had a footlong hotdog on a hot baguette from somewhere with one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ACE-HOT-DOG-STEAMER-AND-ROLL-SPIKE-WARMERS-best-on-ebay-white-base-/390470528836?pt=UK_BOI_Restaurant_RL&hash=item5ae9db6f44
you may or may not love it as much as i do. ive got the footlong hotdogs and baguettes from costco, but have to cut the buns open rather than spike a hole in. proper first world problems here guys :O
anyone know if i can get just the spikes on the above machine? dont need the steamer and cant be arsed spending £70.

Design the base so that it can sit on a hob and make it hollow with thin walls to solve the heat issue

Alternatively walk into a pound shop and pick up a round wood file. For example.

Also at getting pissy about putting mild steel in your baguette when you're going to stick a hot dog in it. Formed from the most amount of shite you can find into a cylindrical shape.

I don't care what your opinion on the matter is Hammer, the fact is that stainless steel's always going to be better for this sort of application rather than the pig iron you've suggested. Apart from the fact that it wouldn't rust ever, the type of metal that they use for pound shop tools is going to be he cheapest of the cheap - most of which comes from China/ India where the regulations are nowhere near as stringent as over here, meaning they get away with more impurities ie. ingredients to bulk out the mixture. In the last couple of years a steel mill in India were found to have trace amounts of Uranium in the metal they were producing.
I'm not saying that the pound shop sell radioactive tools but I will say again that I wouldn't be putting them near any of my food.
