Well yesterday i had my first accident at a roundabout...guy in front set off so i did and as i looked to my right to check traffic he decided he was stopping by which point it was to late and ide hit the back of his car,all it did was scuff his bumper but the poor gsi crumpled like cardboard







As you can see it has damaged both headlights,bonnet,front panel,crossmember but it didnt damage the front bumper thank god...however ive made the decition not to repair the car

I think that's the third accident with these circumstances on CS in a week! It's crazy how many times I've NEARLY done it!

Is it a genuine GSI? Get it repaired if so

Yes its a genuine gsi and i was gutted wen i got out and saw the damage to the corsa as i love driving it but i just dont have time to repair it and to be honest the car needs a full respray so its not really worth repairing so ile be breaking it next week and weighing the shell in

I also did this in my gsi about 12 years ago now, back of a Volvo, exact same circumstances.

Understand why you'd break it, but it really wouldn't need much to fix it. Shame.

Sell it complete to someone who will repair it and keep it goimg. You know its the right thing to do. Genuine ones are getting hard to come by these days.

Could easily straighten that panel out and get it to a state where its legal to drive.

And they say French cars are bad

Its a pity your scrapping it tho. Sell it on to someone who will fix it.

Had a change of heart orderd a brand new front panel and bonnet for it today..but need the car on the road for work monday so went to local scrap yard and got a front panel and bonnet lights all for the sum of £20 sk will put them on till i get the new panels painted wen i get the car fully resprayed in the next 2months

Good Lad, sorry to hear of the crash but glad you've decide to save it...

Repair wise doesnt look like to much trouble to correct and that slam pannel looks like its seen better days.

This sort of incident is rife now. I've had it happen to me twice in recent years. I think there's a bit of scamming going on out there.

Standard I'm suprised people aren't keeping the rot
Instead of changing to non original

at the end of the day like you say its only a car and surely should be able to do what you like to it i dont see people kicking of when others are fitting c20let engines into corsas
