I think your taking this 'function over form' thing a bit ott and trying to make it look shit. Theres nothing wrong with making that cone fit the headlight hole so it looks a bit more reasonable.

That's quite quick for a standard engine to be fair

not bad considering i found it in a scrap bin

V6's love the air and fuel....

when i had the little air intake on i stuffed a sponge bit off a filter up inside the pipe so it sat on the mesh of the afm, it was running 17's and 18's big mistake...
soon as i took it off it got a 13.5 and then just worked its way down from there but by then the b.new LUK XE clutch was slipping like a bitch....
so the few basic mods iv done should see her well. i think the exhaust (well lack of it) has helped it a lot too.

I beg to differ. You'll look a right tit rocking up to PVS with that sticking out the front.

why not take the lens out of a standard headlamp unit and use that as a cone? it'll fit perfectly then and use the standard mounts - just open up a hole and fit a spigot to which the tube can be fixed

yeah mate, already tried this, got so far through and gave up... the hole at the back is too small and you need to do a fair bit of work involving the bit that you paint to make depos and a load of fibre glass filler... the lass is kicking up a fuss over the bits of headlight remains in the conservatory too
this should serve its purpose fine for now
