Finished it now.
Got engine all ready to drop in
Dropped it in saturday morning
By end of saturday i had got this far
Then finished it on sunday
Started 1st time and i drove out the garage, didn't have any issues to sort out/adjust. The only problem i had was reversed up the drive, put it in 1st and it stalled and wouldn't start again. Pushed it back down drive and all it was just a battery terminal now done up tight (must of been excited as thats the last thing to do up)
Drives well, feels more responsive with the 263 cams, but i have a bit of a tappet/lifter noise from about 1800rpm to 2500rpm while on the move. Might try and engine flush.
Wouldn't say much faster, but has a slightly different note to the engine at times, pulls a bit quicker lower down, flat out its too hard to control, torque steers and wheelspins, i think mainly due to the state of the roads, but still think my suspension could be set up a bit better. I just drive a bit slower and gentlyer

Top job on the engine, I can never fit one and make it run first time lol.
Great looking car and I bet it's a joy to drive.

They haven't aged well at all. Really quite ugly looking as if the front has been crushed into a wall. Looks older than my L reg corsa gsi that has a turbo engine.

I am thinking about wheels at the moment, but something always comes up
Nearly bought some 17" AEZ parons last week but backed out the deal.

Think thats the 17" speedlines the corrado forum had custom made, not many sets of them about and i don't like the centre bit
I was considering these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-ALLOY-WHEELS-TYRES-205-40-17-BORA-R32-V5-VR6-AUDI-A3-SKODA-SEAT-LEON/321136913387?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D8186802298026391634%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D321136913387%26
but he put the price up from £360 (he accpeted that, and i didn't get back to him)
