Been out quite a while, I think they are cool as fuck too, they are fun to drive aswell, I'm trying to get my mother to buy one.
They are two seats, and the doors are optional!`

I have had a look at the Twizzy's for purchase.
Great fun cars, downside is the doors are an optional extra!.
You then have to rent the battery, starting at £45 a month based on 4,500 miles a year.
I worked it out, diesel would have to be £1.84 a litre before it was cheaper to run than my Fabia.
Obviously will be incentives if it is a company car.
Also only has a range of about 50 miles.
2 seats though.
They did a special edition one, with a KERS system. Would do 90mph

Flat out its reduced to about 30miles, and if you're ragging it around a car park like I was, it'll drop even lower than that.

Yeah.
MOst sources got 42, others took it easy and got 60. Depends on driving style obviously.
Quick charge though, 3 1/5 hours.

i am pricing/configuring one now, i only do 16miles to work, 16miles back, thats the only essential journey i have and the journey across shit roads that feel horrible in the corrado vr6
Might be ideal, worked out i will of spent over £300 in petrol this month

Although with the F3 slicks it's not very road-legal

I want one, but no reason to get one until they become cheaper to run.

Quick basic comparison:
So you either have to do a fair bit of mileage, or fuel has to go up, a lot!

Does it take into account they only cost £7k to buy new?

That was not taking any cost in to account of the purchase of the car.
I used figures for my Fabia as I own it.
If you want to take purchase price in, my Fabia cost £3,000 so I would already be £4,000 down.

Exactly!
I would be more interested if they said, the car is £6k, the battery is then £3k. You have no other monthly bills to worry about then, or excess mileage etc.
I think the thing with the battery is, as you never own it, you have no hassle with it. If it ever breaks, they replace it, if it is dropping charge, they replace it etc etc. So there is nothing you have to do, except take it to the garage.

Think you need to replace every 3 or 5yrs. Something like that. A bit pants. Wonder if the battery rent covers labour to swap them. No idea how bit a job it is.

Aye that's right, it's not like you need to replace your Evo fuel tank every 3-5 years... infact, judging by the rest of the Evo I'd be tempted to check on that.
