Murray, James & Jordey Cartel should team together their billions and buy it.
In all seriousness though, it'll fall to shit within a year.

Never had an issue with them.
People always remember the bad stuff, and not their day to say stuff being delivered faultlessly

Royal Mail is not very profitable. It was making big losses up till 2 years ago, then made 96 and 340ish profits the last 2 years. (Iirc) given its turnover is 7 billion or something similar, the profits are pretty poor.
As said if you think its poor now, which seemingly most people do, then wait till its privatised. They're already making postman do more work in less time meaning customer service has already got far worse. It'll only get worse once privatised. Although I think the 6 day week has already been safeguarded? Haven't ready any of this announcement yet
I'm hoping for a decent offer for voluntary redundancy when it happens and I'll be out of here, but my shit contract means it probably won't be a decent offer.

Unfortunately the Post Office is nothing to do with Royal Mail bit like sending a parcel through DHL at Staples.

Post Offices aren't part of the deal
They're two different companies

Aye but tbf to them, 99% of the queue is old dears wanting to buy a stamp and all of them feel the need to chat away for hours on end, they cant exactly fuck em off. Definitely annoying though, they need a 60+ lane.

And you won't get them on time you cretin. Hence customer service suffering. If the same amount of people have more to deliver there will be delays for some people who get shoved on at the end of a walk.

Tbf, I'm not even sure it'd be next day if it gets privatised, although there are supposed to be safeguards in place that guarantee that and the 6 day week. But privatising seems to screw everything up.
I'll get a propaganda filled brochure from RM later this month explaining it all anyway.

I don't get how privatising RM will all of a sudden mean that letters wont get delivered. My internet works and BT is privatised, the last time I sent a parcel via DHL it arrived next day and the trains I get to Birmingham and London are amazing.

You will find the quality will more likely improve as they are no longer above the competition

It's a legalised protection racket and a rip off.
I say privatise it so it gets more expensive so everyone fucks them off and uses alternate services that are available plus whatever is generated for the need for a service that works. This will mean it will fold and everyone can rejoice in a world where you pay to post something and it gets there quickly without you having to bribe them to not nick it or destroy it.
The future is bright.
