Yup, it's a Plex client only. You need a Plex server running which is available on Windows/Linux/OSX or NAS device.

Extremely cheap Plex client if you already got a Plex setup going. Just a shame there isn't a Roku version of XBMC as it'd make a cheap media streamer.

Sweet, I'm running Plex on my Apple TV and was a pain moving it from her spare room and then into her bedroom.

Looks easy enough to setup, similar to the Apple TV.

Yeah, guide works fine, follow the strayed link above and you can stream things through it.

Sound quality isn't great (and picture isn't as good as my ps3) though, but its a good cheap media streamer if you haven't got one already. My ps3 overheats fairly easily and my littlun is constantly watching films on its so she can use this instead now and protect my playing for a bit longer, also nicer interface than the ps3 with the thumbnails.

Seems to be streaming 720p fine through my network, although might be downgrading the quality.

I've been playing around with it and for £10 its actually a good little bit of kit.

As for running plex on it. It doesn't seem to work very well for anything thats 720p or above as its causing my MediaServer to transcode it which it doesn't have the power to do.

Got one for the front room - have it running on a server (HP N40L) in the bedroom anyway. Runs decent enough - had a little wait when I played a film with a funny audio stream but the server handled it well enough. Well worth £10 anyway - massive bargain.
