Anyone used them before?
Interested in this sofa (haven't chosen the colour yet):
http://www.sofa.com/shop/sofas/stella-chaise/#313-RCWTAW-0-0
I'm struggling to find anything but glowing reviews for this place. Seems a bit too good to be true?
I'm going to look at their showroom on Thursday night.

Not really helpful but they've put a lot of effort into their mobile site at least, very swish!

I just mean the reviews seem too good to be true really.
If you look at reviews for most high street furniture shops they are terrible. Sofas falling apart within 6 months etc..
This place gives you a 2 week money back guarantee, if you don't like it within 2 weeks, they will come and collect it free of charge.

When I was looking for sofas it was clear to me that most of the high street shops were selling exactly the same product.
At that price I'd make sure it isn't the same thing DFS or somewhere are selling cheaper.

Overpriced as fuck.
Probably trying to claw money back from their expensive domain.

I don't think it's overpriced at all, it's a very big sofa.
This is the same size and similar style from DFS and it's the same price:

You get what you pay for with sofas, I've heard horror stories about places like DFS where the sofa is completely knackered after a year. I intend to keep this sofa for a long time so don't mind paying a premium.

I ordered this at the weekend but in a different colour.
http://m.dfs.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?msg=&catalogId=10101&searchTerm=Chess&langId=-1&categoryId=31109&productId=205314&storeId=10202&ddkey=http:SolrNormalSearchCmd
Was down to £998.
This one is similar to the one you posted
http://www.dfs.co.uk/event/event-left-hand-facing-chaise-end-sofa-bacio-vellutato
quite comfy as well and it was under 1100 in the sale.

They aren't down to anything in the sale, they are just up for the 2 days of the year there is no sale.

Sounds like a load of cliché to me.
Buy a sofa you like and then replace it when needs be.

Indeed. Also, dfs will sell far more than sofa.com so there will be more breakages from them.
We've had ours 4 years now, had to call them out once because the missus idiot mate broke the end of it by fucking about on it. They came and repaired it without 48hours. Not had a problem since.

Theres lots of bad reviews about places like dfs, scs, harveys etc. People tell you to look at smaller local places but the stuff they sell look shit.

Just wait for a bank holiday sale or similar and I bet that sofa will suddenly be 50% off

I'd still rather go with my instincts and my basic research:
DFS - 1.5/5
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews13225.html
Furniture Village - 2.1/5
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews84956.html
Harveys Furniture - 1.8/5
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews69828.html
SCS Sofas - 1.5/5
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews145677.html
Sofa.com - 4.6/5
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews132550.html
I'd rather a pay a bit more and get something that's better quality, surely it's a no brainer?

I got mine from Harveys. Haven't had any problems so haven't had to deal with them. Didn't have any problems buying it though.
Mine was about same price as one you're looking at.

We have this in the extension and get sused evryday and seems to be wearing well
I do not think they are the best but for the price - especially in the DFS sale they are good value
Yes you can get better will cost alot more

I bought mine from CSL as they were the only one that had a couch I liked.
Based on your 'research' - http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews132565.html
However, type 'csl complaint' into Google and you'd be there for 6 months 'researching'. You pays your money you takes your choice but I wouldn't base all my purchases small or large on the internet otherwise you'll be sitting on the floor.

I went and had a look last night and decided that I didn't like it.
The quality is excellent, but I decided the style is a bit too boring.
Going to Next Home and Marks and Spencer this weekend to look at some others.

I quite like this one, but I think it's too big.
