I'm pretty happy with my Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, just need to carry around a laminated card explaining how the tread pattern is supposed to look for when people question it.
113ea on Camskill
I find them LOADS better than the Uniroyal Rainsport 2's which quite a few people honk about.

Same here, seem fine in the dry too...
Since I'm The Stig or whatever, I've only properly pushed the car on my R888's but the Vredesteins are quiet, don't tramline excessively and don't seem to be wearing particularly quickly so make for ideal road tyres IMO.
You seem quite limited in that size for circa £100 - Avons and Rainsports (crap) the other alternatives.

I think those Potenzas were OEM on the Impreza and Evo of our "era". Lots of people rate them highly still, but I've never tried them on this car.
Had them on my Civic though, and they were noisy.

By noisy, I don't mean they sat on the drive at night screaming at the house

Nah mine had 18s, but it's possibly something else specific to the car rather than those particular tyres - just sharing my only experience of the Potenzas.
Can't really comment on grip, as I'm pretty sure the Impreza would grip better than that civic on space savers

Goodyear F1 Assy 2s if you can stretch that but further. Fantastic tyres and superb in the both the wet and dry. £135 a corner.

Why not just go budget??
By your own admission, you don't drive it hard, the car will be slammed, and the tyres will be stretched. I don't see much need for a mid-range tyre now.

I'm not sure that "not driving hard" is a valid justification to run mega-budgets
Besides, if stretching I think a quality tyre would probably be wise as you're already pushing the construction towards its capable limit.

I have those on the front (215/35/19) and they're not bad at all. They do have 7mm tread on mind, so should be decent. Time will tell how they get on with lower tread.

Im not running budgets, after the narna skins on the m3 the evo feels so planted.
Its minimal stretch mabye 3-4 inch a side.

Minimal
I'll measure the stretch on my rears tomorrow, but I guess it's around 2'' and they break traction far quicker because there is no ''give'' in the sidewall.
