I don't have the foggiest what it does, I just know it's nice being able to click "join crew members" and it puts me in a game with people off here

Will that not give everyone some degree of admin privileges over the crew settings?
I think it's better to only promote valuable members who put in an effort towards the crew community by doing stuff like, say, designing new emblems.
