Yes its a far cry from the VXR8.. but running that firebreathing monster wasnt going to last forever.
I will soon be driving a very humble 60 plate DS3 Dstyle 1.6TDi, white with black roof and black interior trim panel thing.
will be booked into SP Tuning asap to get a few more torques out of the lump.
Great car to drive, really liked it. No photos yet as i pick the car up this coming weekend.
** pics **
only got 2 from my phone. not had a chance to take any proper pics yet.

Not that im copying you lol..
will be going into you for a couple of cosmetics. Fully black grill (the VV bit) as the rest of mine is black anyway. plus debadge front and a bit of the rear as i think on the 2010 model they have pins in the boot badge

Why the change?
I'm guessing you're after something a little more cost effective to run...

Yeah, im pretty much living with the gf and shes miles away from where i work. So the VXR8 was just too juicy for the daily commute. I didnt want to use it as a 2nd car as it would just go to waste
Yes Corb you cheeky muthalover.. fit in it fine lol

Why go so small? I'm assuming finances come into it but if I'd just been paid 18k for a motor I sold I'd be getting an E270 diesel, 530d or something similar, even a 1.8 insignia would have been a good choice. Going from firebreathing saloon to a diesel hatchback seems a bit drastic just to save some fuel money

once i have a further wedge in the bank i will have a look at Corvette
Yeah i had the 8 from new.. came to me with only 0000025 miles on the clock

Such a shame. I can't help feeling for you. Must have been a wrench.
If she'd had a couple of owners, then not such an issue, but when you've had from new it's like a pet or a baby almost

mate it was such a hard decision.. didnt want to let the car go.
had it for just over 3 years and had grown very fond of it.
but it wont be the last.. getting this little diesel is going to give me a lot in savings. So just need to wait a few years and get something even more stupid

You're tougher than me Stevo. I couldn't have let her go.
I'd have put her in the garage and bought a three hundred quid shit box for the daily grind.

what sorts of figures are you expecting from the remap? must look more like you're wearing the car rather than sat in it?
