Does the fish and chips weigh as much as the McD's meal including the drink?

A fish and chips that weighed the same as a big mac would be tiny?

Depends on the oil the chips are cooked in I guess.
A bic mac meal is about 1500 calories iirc. I imagine battered fish and greasy chips would be more.

Always had an unhealthy feeling after eating fish and chips from the chippie, luckily i cant eat fish anymore without getting stomach cramps/pains afterwards.
Mcdonalds doesnt quite fill you up in the same way.
I would say fish and chips over a big mac and chips excluding drinks any day.

Fish is fish, which in itself isn't particularly unhealthy.
Drown the thing in a deep fat fryer for 5 minutes and its a different ball game.

I doubt there will be much difference tbh.
Neither can be classed as healthy, I would guess the chippy would be less calories though, although plus a point for having lettuce in it

That's why I asked about the drink, he specified a "large" meal which is two extra chips and an extra gallon of coke - so it's an important part of the question.

If you're comparing just the Big Mac + large fries to an average portion of Fish 'n' Chips, then there probably isn't much in it - both probably around the 900/1000 calorie mark.
I wouldn't class neither options as healthy though
Edit - Big Mac + large fries is apparently 920 calories according to their site - http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/ukhome/meal_builder.html. Adding a large coke takes it to 1130; and if you want some ketchup then add another 20 calories.

Drink included in the Big Mac meal. And I refer to chip shop bought and fried fish and chips.

And what will you downing with your Fish 'n' Chips?
If you're sticking with water, then Fish 'n' Chips will marginally be the healthier option but only by a hundred or two calories.

You can't have fish and chips without mushy peas, tatare sauce and a can of dandelion & burdock/bass shandy so don't miss those out of your calorie count.

I'd change that to curry sauce, but yeah spot on.
What does it matter if you only have it as treat?

Fit them into your macros, then neither of them are unhealthy.

Big Mac Meal - calories are immaterial unless you're on a calorie controlled diet.
9.5 times out of 10 the fish and chips will be the more natural option whereas the Big Mac will be full of chemicals and preservatives.

I should imagine the Chish and Fips would be far healthier, but i'd be having the Mc Shit as I don't go in the sea and I don't eat anything that comes out of it.
That said, if I could have the Fee & Chee, minus the Fee. With a battered squausage or a nice half pound burgler in it's place, i'd be going for that, as the yank filth would not fill me up.
