Wife's 5 year old corsa is bubbling with rust in 4 perfect little circles equal distance apart along the lip of the rear wheel arch. There are no stone chips. It's bubbling from under the paint. Can I take it back to Vauxhall and complain or will I just get no where

It should have a 10 year anti corrosion warranty iirc.
They may argue it's had paint in that area in the past, but i'm sure if you kept on at them they'd do some investigating.

it deffo hasn't had paint as we got it brand new. Worth a phonecall in the morning. It almost looks like they are spot welds. I dunno if rear quarter is spotted on or not though

Sounds like corrosion from spot welds. May have had a new rear wing

New, ie now, Vauxhalls have a 6 Year Corrosion warranty.
Yours should be the same. Get it in for inspection and get it resolved whilst it should be covered still.

I replaced a windscreen on an unregistered beetle with 3 miles on it. You never know what's happened to a car during transport etc.

Even if it did have a quarter that's not his problem.

My 2010 308 has rust on the jacking points and boot floor. I'm not arsed on a 3 year old daily to be honest
I'd feel a bit of a dick taking a 5 year old car to Vauxhall for a bit of rust.

Why? The warranty is for longer as the car shouldn't have significant corrosion in that timescale, so why not use it?
Saying that, you don't seem to do anything in a normal manner, so it shouldn't be a suprise for you to make that sort of statement.

Why? Would you feel like a bit of a dick taking another car with a 7 year/lifetime warranty for some other issue 5 years later?
Why has your 3 year old car got rust? What's your weekend car of the 308 is the daily?

I got some paintwork on my old Ibiza sorted 8 years after it was made as it was rusting. I didn't feel a dick, they offered a 10 year warranty and I took them up on it.

You fucking twat!
My gf's 04 plate TT (114k miles) had some slight bubbling on the side skirts. Mentioned it when it went in for its service and they have been replaced (both side skirts), painted and had new scuff panels put on FOC. Why the fuck leave it?

I'd feel a bit of a dick making that comment tbh. Why wouldn't you take it back? I'm no paint expert, but surely it shouldn't be rusting 5years on.

If my car was 7 or 8 months old i'd want rust looked at. On a car I've done 45k in I expect it to have stone chips and rust starting to form.
Plenty of people on here who think the same who just can't be arsed with all the fuss.

I really have better things to do with my time than argue my case with Peugeot. Then arguing again with the body shop because they have done a shit job.
I'll get some pictures over the weekend when I have some time and daylight.
