Yes you need shorter shocks else you'll be running on the bump stops

I ran shorter shocks on the front never bothered on the rear and never had any issues

i had a c lowered 60 just on springs bumpy as hell and ended up snapping a rear spring so getting shocks is advisable

My B was down 60mm on just springs. Was bouncy as hell but I never had any issues.

A friend of mine had 90/100mm lowering springs on the back of his C with standard shocks - he never had any problems!

However, it was pretty bouncy and I guess pretty dangerous!

Piss off lol, I didn't advise him to run standard shocks, I just gave my opinion on my experiences with stiffened shocks, my astra was on standard shocks when it was lowered too and was much comfier than any car I've lowerered properly, my MG was fitted with AVO coilovers and I've never been in a car as uncomfy before. If its a track orientated car then it's a different story obviously

If you want it to handle reasonably well and not feel aswel as look like a pogo stick. Upgrade the shocks!
I really liked the handling on mine, shocks are cheap enough to get hold of so id just do it

rears will probably fall out when jacked up... wont be fun if you go over a big bump in the road at 50mph

i sold a set of wheels to a lad off here called danny18 or something. he came to mine to collect and asked if i could fit them for him to his corsa b club with 60mm springs and standard dampers... as i jacked the rear end up a spring fell out

Yes. Ivi is just a Bellend.

Dampers and springs are matched, standard items don't have the damping power to absorb the shock of the uprated spring hence the bouncyness. Just spend the money and do the job right imo.

Also +1 on ignoring anything Jamie c says.
