I know alot of you say you keep Maglites in your car.

One of you be my volunteer and tell me why you keep it in your car.

I'll get to the point after the survey, or whatever.

I live 10 miles from the nearest town and often have to drive late at nite and across single track lanes where frequent accidents occur. because of this I carry a maglite as it is a reliable torch and if I were to be involved in an accident or breakdown, I am safe in the knowledge that I can use it to light my way to the nearest safe location or to utilise whilst I wait for help.

what u r going to say however as a police officer is that it could be seen as an offensive weapon, because of their size and weight and by carrying one we are potentially breaking the law and could be convicted so

so when I break down, I can flash to other drivers to help me.

naah, i get my hands dirty - plus my dad gave me it for my 21st, so I keep it in the car to keep him sweet.

it's not a weapon sized one if thats what you mean.

I have the 4D maglight, Im a skinny little shite. It doesnt take a genious to figure it out, why i keep it in the glovebox.

To be fair though, If the torch is in the glovebox, and hasnt been used to threaten/beat anyone, theres not much the Police can say. Its there for peace of mind rather than to threaten people.... oh and becuse its a bloody good torch when i have to fix my mates cars after work
