Put a thread up when I made the offer but can't be arsed searching it.
Bought this end of August, and got keys 25th October.
3 bed end of Terrace
(Disabled ramp has gone was looking forward to staggering down that pissed up! )
Took the "stone" fireplace out
Took kitchen out
Found newspaper under carpet upstairs
First thing I saw on it was this advert, which is the company I actually work for now
Front bedroom stripped
Spare room stripped
Wall in between kitchen dining room is coming out, rear door getting made into a window and French doors on dining room side.
Ordered kitchen, will be set out like so
40mm solid oak worktops arrive
Wall started
And out!
RSJ in
Today made the internal wall where the French doors will be
That's about it so far. Stripping the dining room living room hall up and down and 3 bedrooms of wallpaper was a cunt!!!
Doing the whole house though, to do:
Re-wire
New windows all round and French doors ( front is new anyway) these already on order
Re plasterboard living room and dining room ceilings and plaster in most rooms
Move boiler and put in more rads
Kitchen comes 9th December. Windows come next week.
Loving it so far, aiming to be in end of Jan ish. Going straight there from work and working till about 10 can't wait for it to be done.

Bloody hell, a lot of work done there! Nice job, can't wait to see it all sorted.
I personally would've put a huge bi-fold door across the back as I love them.

Cheers ye loads to do
I like the bi folding doors but they ain't cheap, also if you meant most way across the back would mean re designing the kitchen layout and moving the gas meter which again isn't cheap! Have a budget to try and stick to
The archway thing is also getting blocked up and moving the door to the kitchen to the other side.

Awesome! Reminds me of mine!
Spent weeks stripping the wall a paper off mine, but then stripped it right back to brick in the end so was a waste of time!

Thanks mate!
Got them from b&q with the kitchen. Think they were around £600-£700 ish all together for 6 meters.
My mate who is fitting them is doing another mates kitchen at the weekend, and they got there oak work tops off ebay for £250ish I think for the same length. I let you know what he thinks of the quality when hes done it!

Mine looked the same as the pics when it came out the packet.
However you could smell it had been oiled before packaging. Maybe yours hasn't?
Yours reminds me of the oak sample in b&q. Maybe that hadn't been oiled also.
Like you say, bit of oil should sort it!

Guessing it hasn't been oiled no, time I'm hoping to be in end of January really, got a lot of mates helping me but my plasterer mate is in Thailand until 1st December so that's holding me up getting painting and decorating done really.
Bought the kitchen from Wren. Cream gloss, also got really pale cream 60x60 tiles for the floor. So should be really bright with dark ish oak tops.
When you aiming to be in yours? Also where did you get the wine cooler and how much? I really want one

At least you have a plasterer 'mate', spent a fair few £k on mine and not really touched the surface
Once the kitchens done, and the rads are in next weekend it should be half decent and livable. Not ideal but I just want to get into the place!
Got my wine cooler from b&q! All part of the deal.
Got cabinets, work tops, end and separator panels and wine cooler/ ranger cooker for £4.5k.
What did you pay for yours, I guess your kitchen is bigger than mine, but has the same amount of units (ish)

Update. Been pretty busy with this and going good.
Made a few changes, blocked the arch bit in living room up, and put a new doorway into the kitchen the other side instead. Re wired for all lighting and sockets etc. re plaster boarded the downstairs ceilings. Had it plastered. Fit all windows, just have the bathroom one to do still.
Timber frame made to block the arch
Plaster boarded
Windows arrived
Bedroom one out
Thickness difference of old double glazing compared to new
Upstairs two done
Ceiling re boarded
Kitchen/dining too
Kitchen arrived
Started the rear, changing window and putting in French doors
French doors in (need to finish bit of brick work)
Both in (just top right window to change)
Living room plastered
Just waiting on him finishing that bit round door and window
Kitchen plastered
Last week did front window, was a bay before. Wanted it flat
And that's it for now! Off up today to start some painting. Some of upstairs is plastered too but no pics of that yet.

IMO looks much better now, however I would have done without the top openings on the ground floor, its all personal taste . Looking great so far, I take in metal entrance ramp was sold as scrap metal?
