Hi all, as some of you know I've been wanting a new car for a while, was getting bored of the power from the corsa and using it as a daily was a spine breaker, was looking at a few cars but in the end got this

Spec:
Eds stage 3.5
Stage 1 VXR turbo
80mm afm
VXR injectors
Forge recirc valve
Courtney uprated actuator
Courtney fast road clutch
Cdti airbox with Courtney panel filter
Blueflame exhaust

hopefully that's it, anyway on with the pics of the exterior:

It needs a few things doing to it to get it to my standards and a couple of bits in the engine bay doing. Not holding boost at the moment either which is quite annoying so hopefully I get that fixed soon. Comments welcome

Cheers guys, had it on the RR the other week and it done 250bhp, that's with it not holding boost, so should be more, I'm hoping once the boost issues sorted and a bigger top hat it'll hit 300bhp but il have to wait and see.

Update:
Nothing much been happening with this tbh, just been enjoying driving it and sorting the odd few problems when they've occurred, first problem being:

Quite a badly damaged flexi , so a trip down to powerflow to get a new flexi put in, whilst their I decided just to change the whole section for a de cat, still nice and quiet when cruising and really loud on boost and the occasional pop.

Next up, started the car up one morning and noticed the coolant level warning come up so turned the car off and checked what was up and discovered this.

A trip to the local breakers later and the problem sorted, a nice easy fix.

The decision was made a while back to take the car off the road for a while so I could concentrate on cleaning it up and doing a few jobs I've wanted to do since I've had it ready for PVS, so give it a quick clean ready to tuck away in the garage.

the last couple of weeks I've been gathering a few bits and bobs.

Rocker cover to get a respray.

Intercooler and clamps, waiting for my hoses to come then I can set about fitting it.

Whilst the weather was nice today I set about changing the door handles, the reason for the change is they have been rattle canned so the paint jobs not to good and the paints flaking on them
Before:

After, so much better

That's where I'm at now, their should be plenty of progress in the next few months to get it ready for PVS. Thanks for reading.

Looks spot on, but you might be better off with good quality jubilee clip, I had loads of boost leaks with that type of clip.

I'm glad you've said that, I was thinking this morning if jubilee clips would be better as I know a few people that have had problems with clamps yet I've never had a problem with my current set up which is with jubilee's.

I think I'm going to put the wheels back on that I bought the car with as the SRi wheels don't go with the opel grill/splitter, I might change my mind though depending on how I feel and maybe a few opinions might help me decide?

Update:
Only a little one but my Roose hoses turned up today, and also the hardpipes.

Hopefully I get this lot fitted next weekend, if not the weekend after once my top hat and powerpipe arrives. Also just done oil and filter change as I've done 5k miles since the last service.

Seats look well. My brother also has an SRi Turbo and the seats are my least favourite bit, standard fabric is quite rough.

Update:
Not been updating much on here but I've been cracking on with this lately to get it ready for PVS. Pictures of my progress:
My tophat and powerpipe arrived a few weeks ago from RnD Motorsport which I had the powerpipe extended slightly so it would fit better with my intercooler setup.

Even with a tophat and powerpipe fitted the engine bay would still look a state as it was a mess. a couple of pictures of the bits bugging me.

and the look of everything, fairly dirty.

So got everything fitted that I've been collecting in my bedroom for a while:
Turbo heat shield
Black oil cap
fresh rocker cover with a new gm gasket as the previous one had a really bad leak
untangled the afm wire
new crossover delete
oil breather pipe
black vac hoses as I'm not really into blue hoses
plastic upper cam cover
and fitted the new intercooler setup

the after pic of the engine bay, looks so much better

unfortunately no pictures of the intercooler setup with the bumper off as time was getting on and wanted it finished before it got dark.
A picture why the whole intercooler setup was changed, their was a few pipes like this.

hammered here and their for no reason as nothing was in the way for them to be like that, and the bodge way of stopping the boost pipes popping off, did make me. me and my mate went for a drive after and the difference its made is unreal from just changing the pipes and the intercooler.

also got a new Cupra R splitter as the previous one was scratched and had holes in it, can also see in this picture the new intercooler.

That's it for now, I will get some better pictures of the exterior when I fit my new wheels next week
Comments welcome as always.

Update:
Well after driving round the last couple of months on the standard SRi Turbo wheels and budget tyres, I've finally purchased some new wheels.

BBS CH reps 18'' 8J, got my 215/35 Yokohama Parada Spec-2 tyres fitted as well. Will hopefully put them on this weekend if the weather holds off, cant wait to try them out when its dry as budget tyres are hopeless with the power, hope you all like I love them
