seriously can't wait already! Does anyone know for sure whether sky sports f1 still be available as part of the HD pack with sky?
Makes it a lot cheaper to watch than having to add the whole sports package.

All exactly the same as I understand!
How many seats are still up for grabs? Has the moody Scot fucked off now?

The Sky arrangement rumours seem to change monthly. No point in grumbling about it, they'll be getting my money whatever they decide to do
Their coverage has been miles better than the BBC coverage when they had it exclusively, though not watched any of their part-time coverage since Sky got it.

Same here. Not watched bbc once this season.
Sky need to cut down on the pre race stuff though, it's too long.

Don't think it's currently confirmed, like Perez, but it's likely he'll end up there.

Grosjean impressed me towards the closing end of the season, really upped his game now compared to the crash kid we got so used to seeing , will be shocked if Lotus don't sign him.

No real surprise. Question is, will he retire and or move, if so where?
I'm hoping he moves to McLaren

Hes commented that since the birth of his sun he has changed his outlook and approach to many things, obviously its paying off. If he is learning from his mistakes he could go on to be a very good driver

Grosjean has got to be a challenger in 2014 surely? Obviously if the car is up to scratch? Shame about brawn would like to see him at marussia to try and develop the team into a more challenging force

I really rate Grosjean, hes naturally quick and his race craft has improved no end. Still lacks a tiny bit of consistancy but hes a very good driver.
So difficult to say who will be challenging next season though. I'd say any one who is a manufacturer rather than say someone who uses a manufacturers engine will have the edge, just because they should know all the ins and outs of their engine and had a say in the engines design to suit their car.
So Red Bull (they are now the main team for Renault), Mercedes and Ferrari should be the ones to beat.

Whoever's able to poke enough loopholes surrounding electronic rear brake control/brake-by-wire and ERS to create ABS and TC

Hopefully, still annoyed Hulk could only manage FI. He seems destined to bounce around mediocre teams forever, but looking for FI to prove me wrong.

Next season is such a lottery its hard to say whether Lotus would be a good move or not. Struggling for cash, no more James Allison, they might not be the force they were this season.
He might be just as well at FI.

True, but I wasn't referring specifically to Lotus. He needs to be at McLaren when JB is forced into retirement.

Although he's been impressive over the last few races, the sun isn't shining out of his arse enough for the front-running teams to pick him over their own proteges and he hasn't enough cash for the midfield teams to take much notice.
Tbf, it's the cash-rich cack drivers like Maldonado screwing it up for everyone; if he dropped out then drivers Hulkenberg would have a better chance

Formula 1 teams are pushing ahead with a plan to give drivers permanent numbers throughout their racing careers, AUTOSPORT has learned.

Can see the advantage with merchandising, still not sure what was wrong with the current system though.

Now, according to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport, the sport could be reduced to just 10 teams and twenty cars ahead of the 2014 season.
Respected correspondent Michael Schmidt said backmarker Marussia could merge with the financially struggling but far more established midfielder Sauber.

Be very surprised if this is true but there's a rumour this is the Ferrari 1.6 V6 Turbo being tested in a LaFerrari at Fiorano, Maranello - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=od3H6Jxisfk.

Done and done.
Hopefully P (U2U'd the gimp) will stick it in the first thread, or link to it. Or perhaps one of us should have just created the thread
