Laid a new carpet in the caravan hallway last night, looks ok to say I only had a stanley knife
Need to get new skirting, the carpet is laid fine, but skirting makes it look odd in places.

Following on from Friday, not sure if I'll renew prem or not. Hardly ever come on here now tbf. I don't have a Corsa to show at PVS etc anyway so don't need it for that
It doesn't run out until summer though, so no need to worry yet.

I use here a fair bit so its fair to support the site.
Rather just have some adverts to put up with instead

I renewed mostly to get email alerts on U2U's.
People message me quite a lot to say how nice a chap I am and ask how it feels to be the owner of a premium sports hybrid, that kind of thing.

Afternoon,
Verbally accepted a job offer and having the offer sent to me in writing today.
One question though, I've been asked to give my notice in for the new company to then provide me with a contract as this allows me to have a flexible start date.
Is this normal?
(I must say that the new employer is with my old boss who left my current employer and therefore is a trusted source)

I thought that usually you give your notice in after receiving the contract (or at least that's the sensible thing to do) and then you can confirm your start date with the new company when you send the contract back. You should be able to give them an anticipated start date verbally now, which would be confirmed with the contract.

I'd never hand in my notice without a written contract. Trusted source or not.

Certainly not. BMW i8 and Ferrari LaFerrari are just a couple that spring to mind.

Yes, I thought this too. I'll speak with my new/old boss once this paperwork has landed on my doorstep.

The i8 isn't out yet and the LaFerrari isn't really comparable in real world terms to a Honda is it That's also not out yet, is it? Or I could be wrong.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmassive queue to get out of the estate, and we're right at the back end of it. Looks like I'll be waiting a while for it to clear otherwise it will just take an hour to get out (quite literally) and a whole waste of diseasel fuels.
