Anyone have ny experience of these. Looking for a replacement car for the wife and been browsing at them the last few days.

Cracking looking car IMO just worried the build quality will be poor as alfa have a bit of a reputation.

Something like this

Uses the m32 box as well... Pretty sure the engine is similar if not the same as the 1.9 cdti as well.

Not many close to me so I'll have to try get one out a test drive to decide

not sure if they put the 2.4 JTD in these, if they did go for that one, its a lot better than the crappy Fiat/GM 1.9CDTI effort.

I wanted one of these but the wife was scared of the reputation

They do a 4wd one with the 2.4 JTDm or the 3.2 V6 too.

They should be fairly reliable. A family member works for Fiat and he had a string of them as company cars with no issues

Does the V6 have an M32?

Because that would make an Astra V6 slightly less than impossible.

Brother had one for a short while, Fucking lovely car.
Build quality, for an alfa wasn't bad, don't compare it to a german car, but it was fine to live with!

I want one.

My dads got one these. To be honest its been the most unreliable car we've had in a long time Constant problems with the EGR valve have been the main issue. We recently had a problem with the swirl valves which meant it had to have a new inlet which was cost a small fortune to fix. The semi automatic shift has also broken!

Having said that they are nice cars to drive, my dad had his remapped + DPF removed and it certainly doesn't hang about!

Judging by my experience of a 3 year old Fiat, I wouldn't have another one unless it was brand new and come with 3 years warranty.
