Set to debut later today at the Detroit Auto Show, the 2014 Porsche 911 Targa pays homage to the original 911 Targa of the 1960s. For instance, the car features a folding soft top in place of the previous model’s glass roof that slid under the rear window, a thick B-pillar in brushed aluminum and a wraparound rear glass window similar to that of the original 911 Targa. The vehicle is expected to offer two engine choices: a base 345-hp 3.4-liter flat six and a 395-hp 3.6-liter unit in “S” guise.

I wonder if they've incorporated the twist and flex and scuttle shake of the original car

The way it stows it's roof is pretty nuts! http://jalopnik.com/the-top-of-the-2014-porsche-911-targa-is-totally-bonker-1500331423

It's a nice throwback to the original 1968 (?) version, the most recent ones haven't really been true targas.
