Going to treat my dad to a snow foam thing but I don't have a clue whats decent.

He has a karcher pressure washer, so it'll need to be compatible with that.

Any recommendations?

I use this lance and foam; works as well as any other.

If you sign up for an account, add it to your basket and then don't buy it, within a couple of days they usually send you a voucher for free delivery, and if you still don't bite they sometimes follow up with a 7.5% discount code.

Buy the snow foam lance from Ebay, much cheaper than the above. About £30 for it with the Karcher connector.

Identical to those on detailing sites, I've got this and a £45 one and they're exactly the same.

So confusing, too many different ones!

This one is the eBay one posted by corsa sport. I'm interested to know why Christopher think's it's not as good.

I dont think they are, judging by some peoples results compared to mine! Obviously i know dilution ratio plays a big part in that but i know people have bought cheaper ebay ones then bought the ones off detailing sites and said there is a difference.

That's because the sort of people who discuss it on detailing sites are the ones who have to justify why they paid so much for the brand name one.

Can also depend on the pressure washer to how good mix is.

My new one is working better than old one at same mix ratio.

... Or just buy the directhoses one for £25.

The parts are a interchangeable with the £45 ones, they're literally identical.

Been using snow foam for a while now and I honestly can't see that it makes any difference at all.

Only reason I use it is that it's the only fun part of cleaning the car...

I've not been massively convinced by it either. You need a the pressure washer out anyway, I think you'd probably get more off with standard pressure wash than with some foam to pull the dirt down.

Only reason I fancy it is because I got the pressure washer out today to clean my arches and underside and thought i'd have been able to do a much better job with snowfoam, rather than just water.

Wouldn't pay silly money for one, but that 25 quid one looks good value.

Im confused here like. The eBay 1s looks and probably are, exactly the same as the 1s on the detailing sites. How the hell can it not be as good??

The detailing sites probably buy them from eBay, and stick some scene tax on.

That 1 Kyle has posted "looks" to be the cheapest, but then you have £5 delivery on top, and is it from abroad or are they UK based??

IMO it's like anything you buy! You can buy genuine parts or you can buy copy parts that look the same and are half the price. Now I no there's no "genuine" brand with these I still think they eBay ones are made cheaper with cheaper materials and don't work aswell and might not last as long. I'm not going and sit here and argue with people that don't believe this is the case because it's your choice. If I was going to buy a pair of nike shoes, I'd go get the real ones than buy a pair from primark that look
The same

That's not a good analogy at all. Looks like people who have been able to compare both are confirming they are exactly the same. Having one I paid about £40 for, I can definitely confirm that there is no more that £10 worth of stuff in it.

Agree with John, it really is a quite simple construction. Mine cost £45, which is almost the same I paid for the pressure washer. That a £25 option should be identical sounds very plausible to me.

Sounds good to me, especially considering the owners of the cheaper ones have actually said they're just as good.
