Why is that news?

Rich guy pays people to sand bag round his house would describe it in a lot less words.

Saw it on the news earlier. Thought it was fantastic. Guy must have a lot of pride in his home.

If it's been breached, then sad news

Good for him.
That'll become one of 'the pictures' of the floods.

I'd hate to think how sodden the land under the house currently is! Nice house though.

Is what he is doing/done causing other homes that might not have flooded to flood? If so he is a cunt!

I added the word "is" to my post if that makes it (grammatically) clearer for you. My point is, he is doing something others are not doing anything but his displaced water is still going someplace!

I think gritts point is more valid tbh. You really think him displacing a couple of gallons is causing everyone near him to be flooded?

Thats like suggesting pissing in the ocean causes tsunamis

And besides, everyone knows the gays are causing all this bad weather

Sarcasm does not come across well on the internet clearly.

Nor does the point that if this mans house could be in a flood plain (not saying it is) and those near by who are not, but are getting damaged by his actions. I don't live in the area I guess you do!

Technically if he let his flood, the level would be lower for everyone else, but you're talking mm at most.

He's probably displacing a few thousand litres, on a flood plane of that size it will be fractions of a percent, absolutely intangible.

You did see the pics of him viewing out the window at the devastation. Live in this area I would guess , but no, so your point is just as pointless mine. But you said something on a Corsa Forum. My point was to protect the mass, not the richest!

You sure he would never do it? The guy is a self made millionaire from building. Its not a trade you just sit back and order people around in. I bet over the years hes got his hands dirty. Just because he now has worked hard enough to pay someone else to do the work does not mean he would not be out there himself if he had to. Why would you not pay someone else to do the work if you could? Flip it and say hes putting money into the economy that otherwise wouldn't .

In that scenario there is no way he is ever going to be able to do anything that will affect the masses with the or make a difference so helping himself is fine in my eyes.
