I've got a bolt in my tyre and the head is stuck out above the tread so it's making a really loud noise and vibration when you drive. It's a run flat tyre so it should be ok to drive on it to the garage but just bothered about if I could end up doing any damage to the wheel from the inside? Not sure how long the bolt is so don't know if it's touching the inside of the wheel rim? Should I try to take it out? The tyres already flat

Not having a car with runflats again. 3rd time I've had a perfectly good tyre ruined by a nail/screw/bolt

Unbolt it out if it's already flat.

Replace the runflats with normal tyres?

Getting rid of it soon so I'll just replace it with another run flat as the other 3 are run flats.

Do you think it will simply screw out if I put a spanner over it?

Cool I'll get on it later. Just hope I haven't damaged the wheel as had to drive it 7 miles home with the bolt still in.

At most you might have a bit of a scratch on the inside of the wheel, I wouldn't call it damage, there's not enough strength in the tyre to hold the bolt still enough to puncture the rim.

Something cheaper, been thinking about an 11 or 12 plate Ibiza 2.0 TDI CR recently. Need to have a go in one. Decent enough reviews from what I've seen.

Can't you get the tyre repaired instead of replacing?

Not on a run flat that's why I wouldn't bother with them again on future cars.

Why? Run flats can still be repaired.

A lot of places won't repair them and when you read up why they don't I wouldn't want them to

Saving up a deposit for a house and need to get rid of any outgoings so I can save more and I'll be able to borrow more if I don't have any loans going out every month.

Plus a Mini has got to be the most impractical hatch back ever made.

Yeah Matt, much better to spunk £5k on a landy that you aren't allowed to drive through the floods and still live at home.

I can see what's going on here. Matty g, who is a lovely bloke who spends every day fighting the good fight and chopping logs, has been away from the internet for a few months and in the process has lost his mind.

What is going on is he's basically lost his virginity, fair enough, but now is scared of getting dumped. So he's trying to tie this girl up in a commitment like a house. But when it all goes tits up he will have to foot the bill.
