I've seen new plates on the road a day or two early. Not supposed to be driving them. I got my new Apriila RS250 delivered a day early back in 2000. I never ridden it until the day after, honest

They are all registered waaaay before the 1st. We have 120 14 plate cars going out tonight at midnight and another 80 or so over the next week or so..

Jealous generation is jealous.
New plates/cars get registered before so all the legal stuff can be sorted. Shouldn't be driven on the road until tomorrow though, although that looks like private land to me.

I understand they are registered etc before. Just thought couldn't be on the road untill tommorow
It was parked on industrial estate where my work is, noticed it when I nipped out, was out maybe 5 min or so and was gone when I came back

I'd wait to get the new plate because it'll still be worth more when you come to sell but I don't even register what year they are when I look at them now.
I always have to remind myself that 60 plates are 4 years old now.

I would say they are equally important. A friend picked up a 63 plate pre reg lease motor a month ago and save 16% on the list price because they were gagging to get rid of it prior to the new reg.
