Have pretty much decided i am buying a land rover discovery.
Am thinking of a £2000 budget, would rather it be below that. Am looking at getting a 300tdi version. Thats about all i know so far.
What are peoples experiences of them on CS? Fuel shouldn't be much of an issue and i can't imagine anything costs more to look after than the Corrado has done.

I've been keeping an eye on them but they still seem to go for strong money, even crap ones.

Probably not, don't want something that looks immaculate.

Not got a clue tbh, going to do some more bodywork myself. Probably retiring it soon and will be driving a land rover.

Disco 2 1999/V 95k ish
4.0 V8 7 seat, rear air suspension, 18s
ABS/TC/HDC lights are on (got a code reader and its the OS hub air gap too large), there's a dent on the rear quarter and the sunroof leaks. Its been laid up a while so it needs a clean but other than that its sound.
Only stopped using it because I got an LPG one which is a bit more sensible on the running costs. The engine and box in that one is actually better than my current one, but it's not cheap to fuel it.

At the front here
That's the quarter with damage, you can see a little ripple behind the rear wheel.

Not any more. That reminds me, the ignition doesn't work in position 3 unless you give the wrist a special flick, so there's also a second petrol flap button which acts as a starter button.
Call it anti-theft measure, confuses most people.

I think
Got co-ords on the photos, that does seem a bit far west though. Didn't know we'd gone that far.

Theres one near me in Alfrick or Leigh Sinton, seems to be all mysterious and secretive when you try and find out its location though.

Only so they don't get torn up by loads of people.
That one we had a guide who showed us where to go. That's why I've got co-ords for it, I data logged the whole day. Not paying him twice.

Shits loads of green lane around here, would be happy having the landy as when they close the road no one can get in, unless you can use the greenlane that comes right to our carpark.
Sorry Ian, not keen on getting a V8 Thanks though.
