Seen a plate that I quite like but it's £1000, which I'm not prepared to pay.

Anyone know if they're negotiable on the prices advertised and if so by how much?

Retention fee is £105. Fixed price, regardless of how much the plate costs.

You can get stung with the hidden costs on eBay, just make sure you are clear on what has been paid for.

Also, if youre buying a new private reg from the DVLA, you get a year to assign it, only have to pay retention fee when that assignment period runs out.

Quite simple? What you said about retention fee was wrong, plus you mentioned your fees in the same context which gave the impression you were paying £2k for retention

Can I see the RRS with the £3k wheels and £8.5k plate? I like RRS's, sounds ace

It wasn't . I said my fees . All are which are added on top . Ie dvla fees including retention and vat on top of fees . I don't know if it's auction he's looking at or their fixed sales which I haven't had much dealings with but additional auction fees are high .

No pics of car or wheels pal and if I did I wouldn't be putting my plate over internet .

Still no retention fee even on auctions mate. Assignment fee maybe. Hammer price (+vat), buyers premium (+vat) and assignment fee, which is how I worked out you must've paid £8.5k total if your fees were around £2k.

Don't see what the big deal is about publishing the plate online tbh?

Not sure whats wrong with owning a clio?

Owned plenty of faster or bigger better cars - wanted a hot hatch

I do really like the fact its not fictional and I didn't have to text Gary to come online and back my story up though.
