S55 AMG, 5.5 Supercharged V8. 500BHP.

Im 24 and I have my 21yo GF on it and the insurance is only £655!

My Grandad bought it back in 2007, finally managed to convince him to sell me it a few weeks ago after 7 years of asking!

I painted the wheels this weekend and gave it a clean up. Its been sitting in the garage for the past 4 years apart from its yearly MOT visit.

Dug out of the garage:

Callipers cleaned up a bit:

Against my 5S:

Finished:

4

I can imagine the wheels being a bit 50/50, but the calipers good great behind them and they look 100% better in person!

Will be selling my ST220 once my private plate is off it!

Going on holiday this coming Saturday = 300mile drive

Make sure you get the facelift = supercharged.

Jambo - Will report back on the MPG, hoping it wont be much worse than 18mpg that I get/got in the ST.

Does this have the ABC suspension? Or is the AMG different?

Must be so comfy and quiet in there

Yup has ABC. Can stiffen it.

Seats have massage and turn/pump the bolsters up when taking corners hard to keep you in the seat.

Has sooo much stuff for an 02 car IMO.

The S-Class always is their most 'Techy' model though.

Yeah the ABC is about the most costly thing to go wrong on these..... Lets hope yours is ok!

If you get sick of the running costs, please let me know if you want rid

S-class is always the pinnacle of Merc gagetry and engineering. I was looking at the W140 shape as I love how boxy they are, the CL's seem huge value.

This is very cool though, want!!

That Mondeo looks ace!

Nice Merc. I'm currently saving for an SL. I really want a 55 amg but will probably just get a 500. All the other models seem to be really cheap and proper bargains but the SLs hold their money Im just not ready for a massive 4 door saloon like that lol.

One of my favourite ever cars and they're getting cheaper by the year so it's very tempting.

Can you get warranty covers for cars over 10 years old? Mercs can get so expensive when they break
