Seeing as I have a car I actually like again, and I still browse here I thought i'd put my project thread up here aswell as PNG

Last week I bought a silk violet nova gsi, my mate who I bought it off insists its done only 26k but theres no proof. Before this year the last MOT was in 2006, with 21k on as its been off the road after that year from then till now, its had new arches, and a few other bits underneath.

Not much else to say about it atm so heres some pics;

Interior

Won't be major updates for a few weeks but I've got quite a bit planned for it! I was planning on taking it straight off the road so it was ready for show season next year, but I couldn't resist insuring it for a month, so im driving this till the 28th of this month

And just cos, heres my boring daily;

And incase some of you dont remember me as I havent posted here in a long while heres my old corsas..

My first car, 1.4 Sport that I couldn't insure...

The car I replaced it with, bought a carbon bonnet on. Passed my test then crashed it so I ended up making it a GSi rep.

The arden had a badly converted Z12XE from a corsa C so I sold it and bought my flame red, which i got pretty much standard minus the respray and it ended up like this

Then finally the redtop that I never managed to get on the road..

Look forward to posting on here again

Thanks for all the comments, well as I won't be doing any major things to it until around september, I thought id put up some pics of the underneath while it was over the pit.

Its had a new painted petrol tank fitted, the usual places in the boot that rust have been repaired, and the whole underside has been undersealed. Just needs a couple patches on the sills welded, one patch in the engine bay, and the front valence then it will be solid from what we can see.

Shiny tank

Nothing major, got given some genuine headlight covers today, so thought I may as well use em..

Got my hands on a couple of centre caps so I could see what the wheels look like with em fitted, I quite like the original look!

I'm considering just lowering it a tad and keep it looking original? Opinions?

I was set on speedlines but I'm not quite sure..

Also will be painting the calipers either silver for the clean look or black, thinking the red ones look a bit chavvy.

I've always wanted a silk violet nova GSi. Looks a really nice example you've got.

Personally I'd go with a set of speedlines and slightly lowered. Nothing else needed

Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Cheers mate, I guess I'll see what it looks like lowered and go from there!

It'll either stay on originals, or ill get cesaros or speedlines

If it wasn't a GSi then maybe, but the 1.6 is fun enough for me lol. Still manages to surprise a lot of modern cars
