I'm sure you've seen the adverts, 'It protects from the moment you turn the key' etc... is this just a gimmick and its actually crap or is it alright?

I'm usually late for things and means I hardly have time to let my car warm up in the morning and coz I'm late I'm flooring it most of the way, I don't want to do a lot of damage to my car by doing this and wondered whether any of you guys have any experience with this oil...

Or would I be better getting some mobil 1 or something...

That is the worst thing you can do to a car - my last 2 cars were thrashed from cold and the cams went on both of them.

I dont think magnatec is gonna make the world of difference but thats just my opinion.

No oil will protect totally from cold. oil has to be warm to give total protection

They can't spend loads of money on advertising without it working from cold. That is false advertising. So im sure in a way it does protect from cold.

I used Magnatex in the 1.4. Run really really well. Put Vauxhall oil back in enxt time and it was terrible. Went back to GTX Magnatex after that.

Not bad oil. Would prefer (if i could afford it) Mobile 1

I used Magnatex in my GT and thought it ran shit, put in Esso's own oil and it feels much better.

No it's that fully synthetic racing oil. I've tried the 0w40 before which was good but am using 5w40 at the moment!

Na it's full mineral, non synthetic.. the future car does not work well with synthetic oil. It's a plus side tho as the oil won't cost much alltho it uses alot... and a HELL of alot of petrol
