Not a big fan of Golf's. Bit heavy and more of a motorway car then the RS. I can think of 5 cars i'd rather have then the golf. Your money though mate.
I do think the r32 is nice, dont get me wrong, but i wouldnt buy one.

Ford
VW
Ford VW
VW
VW
Not a hard choice really. Think the R32 is slightly slower bottom end (0-60, wow :lol) but the Golf wins outright.
Would much rather have the golf, by far the better car!

Focus RS
Civic Type R
Clio 172
All of the above are just as quick, cheaper and look just as nice IMO

But don't have anywhere near the quality status of the VW.
Clio 172 is a tin can, they've not sold many.
Civic type R, good car, but you either like them or you dont. I personnally do like them, but given teh choice between a Jap Honda and a German VW, i'll still take the VW hands down.
Focus RS is just a Focus, bigger engine, a LSD thats no good on country roads, bigger wheels and arches. S till the same old tacky Ford dash etc.
