after selling my last zlet corsa c i always wanted another , it was just the last one the shell was on high milage, the color was not the best and i just wasn't 100% happy with it , so when i project poped up at the right time i decided to go have a look, it was advertised as needing a few bits , when i got there the old engine had been removed and the new engine was in on 2 bolts thats it , the car was in great condition, 2 owners, full service history , 63k on the car (60 on engine)and it was previously a 1.4 sri with air con so one of the best models to have , as always the spec has developed down the way to more than i wanted but the plan with this car is to use daily and i also want to do track days and some santa pod action , power wise im hoping for 320/330 bhp but the engine will be the weak point as its not forged, there will be a forged engine going in there at some point but got a wedding to pay for atm so that will have to wait ,
want to get it all up and running then want to do a few changes before i do a track day, like full set of tyres, new proper brake pads and a external oil cooler, long term im hoping to get some corsa vxr seats in it before pvs 2015 then ill take all the parts of underneath and have them powdercoated
some pics of how i picked the car up
as you can see the engine is sat over to one side and the mount twisted
car already come with 308mm brakes , had had new droplinks and lower arms and new calipers and brake carriers
boot full of parts included, new gearbox oil, engine oil, full service kit, new cambelt and rollers, and loads other bits
then started buying parts , xev inlet cam
aircon delete kit
rear mount
hubs
rear disk beam
got the engine sat properly \nd welded the front mount on
new top mounts
walbro 255 fuel pump
tre
new coilovers, had these cheap ones on my last one and they were great , will do till i get some proper ones
painted the new meriva carriers
new calipers
new bearings
droped the fuel tank to run the new lines and found it was full so £50 better of there too
new vs old pump
wiring done
rear beam on
forge actuator
braided brake lines ,
old vs new
aem wideband gauge
changed the door as it had some rust along one edge
helix 6 padel clutch to take some proper launches
new gauge pod
new gauges
stud and nut conversion
engine back out
new seals
all parts of for powdercoating
and cleaned it
painted block up
ecu mounted
engine loom all striped back
astra to corsa loom joined properly
and re wrapped
sump had started leaking but car came with a new one so changed that
new water pump vs old one
cam fitted
all timed up
painted inlet up
new release bearing
vacume hose
ttv billet flywheel
arp flywheel bolts
wheels of for refurb
stud and nut fitted
vxr injectors
all new bolts for engine
was still waiting for a few bolts in this pic
wheels all done
adaptor for the gauge
irmscher splitter
new cool thermostat
fmic
cupra splitter
forge dv
slim line fans
ally rad should help on track
bumpers, mirrors ,splitter, side skirts and arches were all painted
re fitted with new clips
new grill
then had the gearbox rebuilt and blasted, its got new bearings, syncros and seals and had a quaife diff in it to should be a bullet proof box new
heatshield
gearbox fitted
fitted the engine and tried to bleed up clutch (clutch fluid is blue) and it started leaking out the bottom of the box
so engine back out and box back of
decided to take bearing of and try bleed it up out the box to see whats what , turned out the seal on the top had the wrong seal on
anyway got it all back in
ic fitted
new air filter
anti play kit and short shift
some springs for dv and actuator for when mapping
some bits to wire gauges in
vxr afm
new battery
gearbox oil
hids and led bulbs fitted
gauges all wired in
had manifold blasted
reg is coming of my truck and onto this , cut down the plates, just need to wait till its moted to swap it over

and that brings us up to today ,, got a few more little jobs to do like wire in the fan (want it all ecu controlled) aux water pump is all done and have to do the clutch switch , im going to change all the dash bulbs to white to match the gauges and bleed the clutch up,
thinks have stopped now as i need to fix the bottom end knock in my recovery truck , then its back to the painters where he is going to polish it all up, and its having a light window tint fitted, still need to buy my k06 turbo then its of to my mates ashes for a exhaust and boost pipes made, then some miles on the road then to dan r to map it
as said plans long term are when its running on road, get external oil cooler on, ds2500/mintex pads in the brakes and some decent tyres, then before pv i want corsa vxr seats in it and prob do something with the headline and pillar trims(prob get the misses to bring it to pv) , then a forged engine at some point with a gtx28 to still keep it usable on the road

Ha ha that is a good reply Ben.!
Does look like a really good shell you've got hold of.
Really nice bits you've put on , how hard is the Cupra splitter to fit ?
The Ecu you've fitted aswell is it from an astra gsi? Think it's the 1.2"s you can use the standard Ecu just need a different map.
Does it go well ?

Nar Cupar splitter just needs some trimming and a few self tappers, gauges cane from demon tweets, still not driven it yet as need turbo boost pipes and exhaust to finish it of

That looks stunning! All them little mods make it looks really really good great colour too!! And built properly too great stuff!
I just hope it stays looking like this and doesn't end up like the red one has, awesome car but allways preferred it on the cav turbo wheels and normal size arches etc lol

Oh and they need Audi bearings ?

Cracking work as to be expected from your threads! Only thing I'm not really keen on are the cut down plates. Don't look right with the number plate recess still being full size, but obviously I'm just being picky.
When are you planning to get the turbo on?

Tom yes its just one of eBay think it was about £40 delivered
Yes just weld the front mount on alto tx autos port now do a bolt on one, bearing wise there the same as the corsa b conversion , you can use audio ones but there more expensive I might upgrade to then at some point
I know what you mean about the short plate and was thinking yesterday about getting other bumpers and shorting the recess around the plate
