New to the forum, so I'd thought I would say hello!
meet my 1.6 sport, all £350 of her!
looks like someone started smoothing...
rear wiper hole:
roof aerial:
but at least this works as intended:
driven her as a daily for a few months, put a new aux belt tensioner and some nylon gear linkage bushings in, looking at suspension/exhaust/wheels in the new year, mate of mine is going to tidy that smoothing up, plus a couple of other blemishes! but she goes well and is solid, so all smiles here!

Welcome mate.
Is that inlet manifold painted? Looks like a plastic one off a C16XE, the older engine which is slightly more powerful.

thanks for the welcome, the previous owner did want 500 squid, but as it had steelies on, stank of cigarette smoke and needed a day of cleaning and polishing inside and out, I haggled!

hi! exhaust, maybe something nice cat-back, some 14/15 alloys, a good tidy up, some new shockers (shes like a waterbed at the moment...) maybe a bit of a drop too... and a drivers seat with all its bolsters! just really want a nice daily that's also fun to play on back lanes and b roads
I have a really tight budget, so it'll be a long road to getting her right and a lot of late nights on ebay!

I built my whole car on eBay parts and what I could get off here. There's alot of members on here who will often let you have things for a great price and will bring it to shows, meets etc. to save on postage. Mines taken just over 3 years to get it to where it is now mate, well worth it though and I've got alot done to the car for the budget I had.

The way the world is now, with the digital era and accessabilty, it's just as easy to use forums, facebook pages, ebay, gumtree etc. etc. They have autojumbles all the time round my area, but yer theres always a massive one a VBOA at Billing.
