Ok here is this years project to keep me entertained over xmas and manage my Aspergers.
The thread to last years and one before that is here
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=623501
This year is something different from Technics lego, I took the plunge with this
Gelande II RC defender

The build quality of this is pretty sweet, full alu accurate chassis

Proper metal axles

There is shit loads of accessories, and I will be building as close to 100% replica as my real one as possible.
Progress pics to follow

Have to put it together
So starting to gather a nice collection of bits, there is still a fair bit to come including the kit itself as has to come from USA

Some close ups of some of the bits
Decals, and scale numberplates, same as my real life plate

Scale alu plate kit

45T motor

Test sprayed the tamiya ts38, close enough match to mine

Sprayed the plate kit a shade of nigger black

Then time to water proof the ESC as I want to wade it, I actually have a better ESC that is already waterproof coming so may ditch this one.
Used this liquid tape stuff, which is essentially brush on rubber

Opened the plastic case

Took the heatsink off and submerged all the electronics in this stuff

All back together

Water test

Nothing blew up!

Do you actually have Aspergers or have you just Google diagnosed yourself?

This looks like a really cool kit
Also, as you own the vehicle you are replicating and posting pictures on the internet, this will assure 100% Kudos and maximum internet points from weirdos who make trailers and BBQs out of the same car they own.

Water test wasn't worth doing if it's a replica of the real one you have it won't get wet

Will you be doing any dry brushing? I think it would be cool if you did.

I'm not sure it will look right on such a large scale, 1/10 it will have real mud on it anyway lol

My leds turned up. I tried to get as close to real life colour as possible, most of the kits are blue/white which just looks wrong imo, these are more white/yellow

Also made up this little loom to allow me to switch them on and off from my RC controller

This is well cool. Luckily your car is a pretty simple design (no offence lol) so you should be able to get it looking pretty much exactly the same.
Lights look a nice colour.
Nigger black
Really excited to see how this turns out.

368 for the kit. Then just a case of getting on eBay for the accessories
