Rage quit followed this.

Apart from the compensation, why leave 9th for 18th. Unless he thinks he can do what Redknapp did with Spurs

Could also be down to the constant abuse he's received at every home game for the last 12 months. Was never his biggest fan but while Ashley's in charge we were never going to do any better and with some of the rumours kicking about some of my fellow fans should have been careful what they wished for!

Pardew is the best thing that has happened to Newcastle in a long time and where they are in the table now is only just below where they should be. They over achieved a couple of seasons back and expectations have been too high.

That's the thing expectations are not too high, the whole deluded Geordie thing is a total fallacy, all the fans I know do not expect us to be in Europe every year despite what the media and other fans say! All we would like to see is attractive football, played with commitment and all to often Pardew has failed to deliver due to his tactical ineptitude, the fact that he has set up every single team the same way for as long as I can remember suggests that our occasional runs are more down to luck and how the players feel on the day rather than his coaching!

So you would be happy playing attractive football, getting thrashed and ending up getting relegated? Wigan used to play attractive football! You cannot have it all.

Obviously we would like the occasional win along the way but all I have seen is negative tactics and a team completely devoid of ideas for almost 2 years now.

But your in 9th, for the level of investment put into the club thats pretty decent don't you think? He asked for a striker in January and was apparently refused, you cannot work under a owner like that.

I aplogised. It was no big deal. Aaron decided to start calling me names for no reason after that.
You can make the thread every week if you want. I only do it because no one else bothers.

I think 9th is actually flattering us after some of the awful performances we've endured at St James this year! However in my opinion it has been more to do with the players stepping up rather than Pardew changing things. I actually think we have started with the same formation at home since the start of last season and despite it not working for large portions of that time he still perservered
