Are these cars now rare enough to be cool or can they be modded to be made cool. I could get one fairly cheap in god condition for a wee toy. I just cant decide if it has potential

Never be cool, but you can drop a lotus elise engine in them and shock a few people

my first car was an MG Metro Turbo and it was bags of fun, always regretted getting rid of it

Might be cool in your eyes, but anyone else probably not. I've got a softspot for them as it was my first ever car, how much is cheap? And yes they can be modded to 'be cool'. I've seen one with stupid BHP, went like shit off a shovel.

Good to know. The one near me started at £1995 then £1500 now £1000 so could go for less

Rare isn't cool imo, i think the car has to of been decent in its day as well.

There seems to be a weird generation/mindset of people going out buying any old shit car no one wants and calling it a cool retroride
