Seems very expensive !
Have a look on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/car-insurance-job-picker/#sectors and see if you can fit into one of the other categorys - factory worker for example.

Last year I was offered £700 for my 2001 Seat Leon Cupra 20vT (31 yrs old, 7 yrs ncb, 0 accidents, 0 points) and I said no way am I paying that, I'm getting much cheaper quotes.
They asked me to email them proof of the quotes I was getting so I did.
A few days later they contacted me and offered me £390 which I accepted.
EDIT : Thats with Brentacre.

Yikes
They were however doing some online discount thing at the time I did mine. 15% off or something.
Heard a few good comments about greenlight with modded cars lately, I was going to try these for the corsa having sacked brentacre off.

I got quoted 3k for my 1.4 Corsa, and they wouldn't even offer me insurance as soon as they found out I lowered it more than 50mm. That was with Adrian Flux as well

I'm 23, 5 years NCB, clean licence, renewed in November. £670 fully comp on my MK5 Golf R32 through Adrian Flux with mods declared, also covered fully comp on any other car!
I had a MK6 Fiesta Zetec S when I was 20 and only paid £600 fully comp then, your quote seems a bit high to me, even with the points!

I highly doubt you're covered fully comp on any other car.
I paid £399 this year for the Alfa, 15k a year, 2 accidents (1fault/1non), no points

Crazy how a job title can affect it quite a bit, will use that to try and be creative with mine come renewal time.

There's no need to doubt it, it's in writing on my insurance certificate, I paid £25 to upgrade it from Third Party.

Got it to £550 and stick with admiral. That's with adding my points on. Will have to do. Mrs crash bumps it up a fair bit since it was her fault
