Don't want a Corrado.
Ok so my lease is up in June for my DS3c and it needs replacing. Seems now I am doing even less miles than I was last year (6500)
Trouble is, I literally have no idea what I want. I mean there is lots I "want" but not sure even which way to go about it this time. Leasing has been great, DS faultless, so it's tempting to get on the leasing game again, trouble is I fancy something bigger. The deals at the minute seem quite poor compared to when I looked before and would only consider a 2yr deal. If I leased I would want something economical I think but that still has poke.
So choices so far, and before you say it yes they are all completely different.
Used:
Mercedes ML270 CDI 2005
ASTRA VXR
Vectra VXR
BMW E90 318/20d Msport+
Clio 182 FF
Mercedes R129 SL
Mercedes W140 Sclass
Astra Coupe Turbo
1series hatch
E46 330ci/320d
Lease:
Mercedes GLA 220cdi AMGline
Audi A1 tdi
Peugeot 208 GTi
Ford Festa ST
Skoda Octavia VRS d
Golf GTE
1series
A Class
Abarth 500
Seat Leon
Just be interested in your suggestions secondhand I was ideally thinking of two budgets £3k or £10k
Leasing cheapy as you like.
Any ideas would be ace.

E46 M3 are too old now, plus running costs are bonkers.
Fiesta is Tempting, they are meant to be good I just don't really like the look of them that much and the dash/Sony player is a fucking disgrace.
Abarth is affordable but you don't get much for your money and I am worried it will be worse than the Shitroen in terms of build quality etc, drive a 500c occasionally and its great but the fucking mirrors vibrate when driving down the road ffs

Out of the used I'd choose - E46/E90 320D, or the Mercs
My mate has recently gone back to a E46 BM after having a Leon Cupra R and said he is never leaving BM again!
Of the lease - Probably the GLA as the others seem a bit ordinary to be leasing. imo.

I quite liked an A1 I hired - 1.4 TFSI DSG, in S-Line trim.
Very nice, very nippy.
Bit small, but then I'm 6'2" and a bit of a Chub.
How about an A3?

Yeah the E46 will be good but finding one is hard, most are bummed or £4000 too much for having sub 50k on the clock. They are also quite horrific on fuel, I drive one regularly and it does 19mpg on a good day (AT). Fun though.
E90 looks the best, but its the massively thick end of my budget and I am not entirely sure I am comfortable in spending that much on it, but it is "what I want" as such.
Unless I smoke about in a £1k astra for a while till I can afford one of the LCI 320 coupes. Don;t really want a diesel but the petrol engined ones are shit.

DJ - Like the look of the A3 black edition, but im not really into Audi's. Probs rather a golf and save the £
I dislike the look of the A1 immensely, but the interior looks nice and the deals are cheap currently, so its a contender for badge/££

We have also been looking at A-Class Mercedes to replace the Corsa.
GF wants an AMG Sport model, probably one of the 180 models, either Fuel type.
I've also recently been looking at (used) W212 E-Class Mercs to replace my Vectra - E350 CDI Sport - decent spec, decent engine. It seems...

If money was larger I would be buying/leasing a Merc E250 CDI AMG Line in a heart beat. Beautifully proportioned cars.
I like the C Classes too, think I can just sneak them in my budget.

I'm 99% set on an Exige now I'm only doing 5000 miles or less but still miss having the size of the Disco3. Jag has done 192,500 miles now and want to take it over 200k first!

GLA. What a rancid looking thing.
I'd go for the Fiesta ST purely because Ben G has one, and that Clarkson says it is good, so must be.
Will be lots bigger inside I think than the DS3. Boot certainly more practical.
Don't discount the 1.0 EcoBoost 125ps Zetec S. I saw lease deals for £99+VAT on your sort of mileage which is bargain motoring imho. I know someone with a 100ps EcoBoost Focus who's returning 62mpg, and he doesn't exactly hang about.

Fez Zetec-S 125 Ecoboost is a laugh.
Decent pace for what it is, and quite fun to chuck about too.
If they are still available at £99p/m that is a proper bargain.
That offer would be with miniscule mileage terms though

Think it was 6k or 8k. I'm gutted I didn't go for the offer.
Since when have they been 140ps? Special edition one I think:

Black and Red Editions are tweaked to 140PS
Red Edition is Red with Black wheels/Mirrors/Roof etc - like a Corsa (Un)Limited Edition - Black Edition is opposite, Red details, looks worse than the other one though.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing them. The black one is rancid.
Get one of them Jambo, will be a hoot at 140ps, that's like 40ps less than the ST, and more economical.

For me, if i was doing such low miles as your are Mr Jambo, i'd want something fast. I would also want to own the car because i'd be able to look after it.
