This isn't Corsa related at all, but..

I'm looking at buying some Comps for my Fiesta ST2 and found these on eBay

I've never seen these wheels before and not 100% they're comps, only thing that makes me think they're is they look to be magnesium, Anyone shed some light?

If they are Pug offset, they will be a crap fit on your Fiesta.

Agreed. I had some Dezent 17's on my 206 that came off an Escort. Ate brand new Toyo's in 3 months on the front.

They look a bit rough on the pic from behind, look like really corroded and then blasted and painted over. Can't really tell.

That has nothing to do with the offset.


I always thought it was the wrong offset since all the tyre wear was down the outside of the tyre rather than the middle.
The middle still had loadsa tread but the outside was so bad after 3 months, they failed the MOT.

Did I say easily?

If I was going to buy them I would get the wheel specialist in Nottingham to refurb them.

No it isnt...... Camber doesnt wear tyres much quicker than standard - its the toe angle which in effect scrubs the tyres back - hense to quick quick wear....

And castor doesnt really come into it...

I reckon there are loads better wheels out there for the money. I wouldn't touch them looking at the ad again.

Incorrect offset can have an effect on tyre wear, not saying its the case this time, but it deffo can have an effect due to changes to the scrub radius

For instance if you change your offset to bring about a zero scrub radius - taken from wikipedia

I have a 100% standard audi a3 and the front tyres have worn on the inside edges, corrado and corsa did the same and i always assumed it was because i had lowered it.

Maybe its just my driving.
