So I decided to put my type r on eBay last night to see if there would be much interest and there a guy coming today to see it at lunch already! The cars currently got my plate on it which will take a few weeks to come off which the guy know so I have a little window to find a replacement car.
We are moving house in the next couple of weeks to a house that needs a fair bit of work doing to it, so an estate would be ideal and would also help with the dog/s I can see arriving soon after. As the house needs a bit of work doing to it, I wouldn't mind buying a car that I just don't care about if it gets a little ding or if the interior is grubby etc. whilst taking stuff to the tip.
So I've set a budget of around Ł2,000 and have found the following 2 cars, any thoughts? My civic is below also in case anyone is interested

Update!
Ended up with this in the end, 2.3 turbo auto 250bhp. It's got more toys than anything I've owned including touch screen nav and heated rear seats!

What about somethink like this: Subaru Wagon then you've got both estate for tip runs/taking dogs out and the speed is still there. That's just an example, i'm not saying go for that particular one.

A freidn has a Focus estate and its pretty tiny tbh.
I would be looking at 4x4's like Grand Cherokee's, P38 Rangeys, or something like a Mondeo/Vectra Estate. Or an old (non rusty- if you can find one) Eclass estate

I'd use the "speed is still there" phrase loosely on an non-turbo Impreza lol Still get garbage MPG too, wouldn't bother.

I'd certainly get a turbo one if I wanted a run around to shove shit in the back, etc.

Are the Subaru's very big in the boot though? Always thought it wouldn't be that bit with the slope of the rear hatch?
This looks alright? and is only 8 miles away

Thought you were getting a Subaru?
On another note, that st170 estate must be pretty damn rare. I've never seen 1, nor did I even know they done them in estate form.

Amazingly there is one that lives down the road from me already! I've never seen another though.

If going subaru you'd be better off with a legacy estate.

My impreza wagon was sub 2k
As its standard it's very reliable. Fits my large dog in no probs and I have completed loads of tip trips in it as I'm renovating my house
Although it's practical it still does 0-60 in under 6 seconds

Do you do 0-60 sprints on the dump runs?
